The 2nd Psychological Operations Group is a unit of the United States Army Reserve that specializes in psychological operations. It was first established on October 29, 1965 as part of the Regular Army, and was activated on December 20, 1965 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The unit was deactivated on September 13, 1972 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. It was later redesignated on October 30, 1975 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 2d Psychological Operations Group and was withdrawn from the Regular Army. It was then allotted to the Army Reserve and activated at Twinsburg, Ohio. Finally, on September 18, 1990, it was reorganized and redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2d Psychological Operations Group.
