Raymond P. Ambrozak Award CITATION

WHEREAS, MAJ-Ret. Ambrozak served his nation in uniform from 1958 to 1978 in both peacetime and in time of war; and

WHEREAS, MAJ-Ret. Ambrozak served multiple tours in Southeast Asia in both PSYOP and Military Advisory roles providing military expertise and leadership; and

WHEREAS, MAJ-Ret. Ambrozak served in the transition of the 6th Psychological Operations Battalion to the 4th Psychological Operations Group as S-3, and was decorated with the Silver Star for heroism, Bronze Star (2 awards), Viet-Nam Cross of Gallantry with Bronze Star, Viet-Nam Cross of Gallantry with Palm device, and others; and

WHEREAS, MAJ-Ret. Ambrozak has been a long-standing member, and Life Member of this Association providing significant advice, guidance and support and participating in events of significance to US Army PSYOP and this Association; and

WHEREAS, MAJ-Ret. Ambrozak has been recognized as an expert resource on US military PSYOP during deployments in Laos and Viet-Nam; and

WHEREAS, MAJ-Ret. Ambrozak leveraged his operational PSYOP expertise as an instructor and trainer of officer and enlisted Army students preparing for deployment as PSYOP assets in support of US military operations in foreign theaters;

NOW THEREFORE, in grateful appreciation for his life contributions, leadership, and mentorship to the profession of military PSYOP and his fellow PSYOP soldiers, the Psychological Operations Veterans Association confers on MAJ-Ret. Raymond Ambrozak this award.
